A while back we came across another site named "West Valley Wuzzles! - Sedona's First Litter" which documented the first six weeks of a ferret litter. Although we don't have any ferrets we both enjoy them.

In March of this year our Tonkinese female, Jasmine, became pregant and we thought that we would enjoy doing the same type of thing. We hope that we can help you understand cats a bit better while enjoying looking at the kittens while they grow up.

You may be wondering why we are breeding our cats. Basically it is because they are so great that we just had to. Sometimes you'll find a cat with such a wonderful personality that you just want to make sure it will be carried on. This is the case with both the mother and the father. We are not doing this to make money even though we may sell some of the kittens (depending on how many survive). Anyone who is breeding just to make money should not be a pet owner. Please note that our cats have never been outside and never will be. Any cats that we are not intending to breed have been operated.

We will have pictures from before we expect Jasmine to begin giving birth. Of course we can't be exactly sure because the exact day is up to Jasmine. :)

Starting with day one we will post daily pictures for their first five weeks. Each day a new picture will be posted on the main page and the current day will be updated with at least one picture and news of the kittens.

The most important thing right now is Jasmine's health. We took her to her vet in January for a check-up just to make sure there wouldn't be a problem (of course not everything can be determined ahead of time). In addition we are spending extra time to examine her daily.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
