Jasmine's Litter - Day 4 |

Just one kitten has part of their umbilical cord remaining. We expect that it will fall off either tonight or tomorrow. Jasmine is becoming quite the protective mother. There is some houses being built outside of our house during the day. Of course there is some larger, and noisy, equipment being used. This morning there was one of those machines nearby and Jasmine was going around her room meowing at the sound. But no matter what she lets us and Natalie's family be around. In fact she enjoys getting the extra attention from us. Jasmine has figured out how to carry her kittens. Often when we come into the room and she gets up to see who is there. But sometimes the kittens are still busy drinking. All you see is a trail of kittens being forced to let go of their mother. A couple of times a kitten gets a "ride" off of their blanket and they will start meowing to get back. Before this morning we had to move the kitten ourselves but Jasmine figured out that she can carry them back. Of course now she'll probably start moving them all around the room! |
